Unable to Add Contact to Klaviyo List — Missing Integration Permissions

To ensure proper integration functionality and the ability to send contacts to Klaviyo, your API key or OAuth token must have the following permissions (scopes):

  • Profiles: Full Access — permission to create and update contact profiles.

  • Lists: Full Access — permission to add contacts to mailing lists.



Please note that with Klaviyo API keys, permissions are usually set at the key level. For OAuth tokens, make sure the required scopes are requested during authorization.

If the integration lacks the necessary permissions, attempts to add contacts will result in access errors.
